Burris Computer Forms will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2010, in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy some fun facts about Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 9 am EST.

Burris Computer Forms ® has been awarded a GSA Schedule Contract with the federal government for its line of Print-on-Demand forms used with desktop publishing and in-house printing.

Government offices and agencies can print their own forms quickly, in-house using Burris’ line of Print-on-Demand products: blank, printable Four-of-a-Kind Postcards™, Print-on-Demand Jumbo Postcards™, Print-on-Demand Note Cards™, and Print-on-Demand Greeting Cards™. Users can print as many or as few forms as they need, on demand, and without having to wait for a print shop.

Government users can save time and money by printing their own forms using Burris’ products. Blank products can be used for multiple mailings throughout the year; there is no stale pre-printed message, which eliminates waste; and there is often a much lower cost associated with desktop publishing and in-house printing. Printing blank products also saves time, since users can print their message immediately and mail them: there is no lead time at a print shop, no proofs to send back and forth, and changes can be made instantly in-house without wasting materials or time. As part of its application with the GSA, Burris was evaluated by Dun & Bradstreet’s Open Ratings. Burris received a past performance evaluation rating of 96 from its customer references, placing it in the top 20% of companies in its industry.

Jerry Guzi, president of Burris Computer Forms made this statement: “For many years, businesses, non-profits, individuals – and federal, state and local governments – have used our postcards, note cards and other Print-on-Demand forms to print their own forms, in their own offices, using their own PC’s and printers, conveniently and cost-effectively. We are delighted to have been awarded a contract by the U.S. General Services Administration to be a provider of blank, printable forms for the employees, agencies, offices and departments of the federal government. We look forward to working further with the GSA and serving our GSA customers.” Federal Government employees can find Burris Print-on-Demand products at www.pcforms.com or at GSA Advantage ®. Burris’ GSA Contract number is GS02F0203W.

Burris also offers additional products such as its Create-N-Hang Door Hangers™, Peel-Out!® Shipping Label Sheets, Billing/Fundraising Sets, and Printable Inserts™ that are not on the GSA schedule.

Burris Computer Forms® announces the winner of its company logo contest.

The contest was held through logomyway.com, a site that hosts contests where companies submit their requirements for a new logo, and graphic designers all over the world submit logo design entries. Burris received 152 logo submissions and narrowed the contest to several logo designs before selecting the winner. Ultimately, it selected its new logo designed by Dennis Eliezer Bueno from the Philippines. The contest was easy to set up: the company set an award amount, set guidelines as to what the company was looking for in a logo, and commented on and ranked the submissions as the designers submitted entries. Jerry Guzi, President of Burris Computer Forms made this statement: “Our original logo design served us well for 17-1/2 years. We are grateful to the graphic artists who submitted such excellent work and designs in response to our contest. They did a terrific job. We are especially grateful to Dennis for his design (our new logo) and to logomyway.com for providing this service.”

The logomyway.com site first came to Burris’ attention from CoolSiteoftheDay.com, which lists sites of interest daily. Visit www.pcforms.com to view the logo Burris selected as the contest winner and chose as its new logo.
