Burris is now EDI ready!

Burris Computer Forms recently partnered with TrueCommerce so that we may provide a full EDI solution to any of our partners present and future!

What is EDI you ask?EDI

EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange. It is a document standard that companies use to talk to one another. It converts the files and data to the necessary production and/or accounting software and saves everyone a great deal of time.

For instance, your company wants to order 100,000 LS-6X4BL Peel Out!® Shipping Label Sheets every two weeks for each of its stores. Rather than calling in, emailing us or printing and faxing your purchase order you open the EDI application on your computer,  type in your quantity, choose the item from our list and press send. On our end we see the order has arrived and open our EDI application and export it where it’s then handled like any other order.  It saves time, effort, paper and removes the possibility for confusion or manual data entry errors when multiple people place various orders. You can also send out the invoices, ship notifications and various other aspects of the business depending on the specific scenarios between two companies.

Generally EDI is used by larger businesses with frequent orders as each EDI set up per business is custom and has some up-front costs.

We’re very proud to be able to offer this service now for any of our Peel Out!® Shipping Label Sheets or Postcard customers. It’s been an exciting process to get this running live and has been a breeze to work with while receiving, invoicing, and shipping recent orders!

If there are any questions about EDI or if you are interested in using EDI in the future just let me know!
