how to use membership card template

I don’t understand how to use the membership card template.  Help!

Blank printable membership cards can be printed by using one’s own PC and printer. The user can create his/her own membership card content and layout using existing software such as Microsoft® WORD or Publisher ®, and print immediately using his/her own printer. No additional hardware or software is required.

Blank templates allow users to create custom membership cards, often utilizing a mail merge letter.

Step 1: Find a membership card template:

Download membership cards 1 per page

Download membership cards 2 per page

Step 2:  Format membership card:

  • Click into the letter portion of the sheet.
  • Format your document, like you would a letter, including company logo, return address, recipient/member address, and include detailed benefits of membership.
  • Click into the image of the membership card.  Right click and choose Add Text.
  • Use the Mail Merge Wizard, if desired, to have the membership cards filled with data from mail merge.
  • Personalize card as desired with graphics and / or text.  To remove printed border around membership card, select card, right click, choose Format AutoShape, and Change Line Color to No Color.
  • Go to File, then Print Preview to view before printing.

Step 3: Print.

Can you print blank notecards in a regular printer?

by Raki Wright | Last Updated April 13, 2011

print blank notecards

You can print blank notecards in a laser or inkjet printer.

*Consult your printer’s manual to see the maximum paper weight or use our What Paper Can My Printer Handle? tool.

*Check the paper weight of the blank notecards you want to print.

We list the weight of our products in GSM.  Our Paper Weight Comparison Chart can be cross-referenced based on the way your printer manufacturer expresses the paper weight.

Paper weight is often measured in cover, index, text, bond, tag, bristol or gsm.  This is determined by measuring the weight of a certain quantity of sheets of paper. Paper weight may be expressed as basis weight, ream weight, M weight or grammage.

*Set your printer to handle specialty paper.

If your printer is not listed, please contact us, and we would be happy to look it up for you and add it to our database.

paper jargon 101

Ever wonder what a perf, crease, or paper weight is?

What is a perf?

A perforation, sometimes called a perf, indicates a line of small dotted holes for the purpose of tearing-off a part of a printed matter (usually straight lines, vertical or horizontal).

What is a micro-perf?

A micro-perforation, sometimes called a micro-perf, is a perforation that results in the cleanest edge possible, after tearing.

What is a score or crease?

A score results when paper is compressed along a straight line so it folds more easily and accurately. It is sometimes called a crease.

What is paper thickness?

Thickness defines the bulkiness of a sheet. Also known as caliper, this is the thickness of a single sheet of paper, as measured in thousandths of an inch.

What is paper weight?

Paper weight is often measured in cover, index, text, bond, tag, bristol or gsm.

This is determined by measuring the weight of a certain quantity of sheets of paper. Paper weight may be expressed as basis weight, ream weight, M weight or grammage.  Stay tuned tomorrow to see what those terms mean!
