The note card template seems to go one way and the cardstock goes another…help!

By the Note Card template going one way and the Note Cards another do you mean the orientation (landscape vs. portrait)?  If so, you may try one of two things: 1) see if you can turn the paper around and feed it through the printer in the other direction (i.e. if inserting top first try putting it in sideways), 2) if that doesn’t work try changing the orientation of the template, change from portrait to landscape.
