What should I do before I print?

Before loading the paper into your printer, it is a good idea to "fan" the paper out. This will make sure the paper is fully separated, and will allow for the smoothest feeding in your printer.

You will experience the best results with your printing if you change your printer settings to print heavy paper:

Click File then Print, and then click on the Properties button in the Print Dialog Box

Next, adjust the settings for paper type. What you adjust it to will depend on your printer, but typical choices are heavy, cardstock, and thick.
