Jill McSheehy, of Cogswell Motors, says…

“We use the standard and jumbo postcards for sales and service related promotions… with Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Word.  I continue to use you because of the competitive price and the ease of ordering and shipping.  You guys have always been good at checking up on me to see if I need anything without “hassling” like some companies do.  We have found that postcards are more economical and have a better response than letters, which is why we continue to use them.”

Q:  I’m looking for a long (#10) foldover note card that I can attach a bookmark to….. along with a matching envelope….. It needs to be about 4″ x 9″…… and a decent quality in white.  Can you help?

A:  We do not carry a #10 foldover card as a stock item.  We do carry blank printable bookmarks which measure 2.75″ x 8.5″ each.   I would be happy to work up a custom quote for the foldover cards and envelopes if you would like.  The minimum quantity would be 2,500 sheets.  Or, the closest stock item we have are our HalfFold cards which measure 8.5×5.5” when folded.

Q:  What is the distinction between when you are able to use the $.26 post card postage rate and the $.44 regular rate. Do you have to have one blank side to qualify for the postcard rate when it is mailing?

A:  The current postcard rate is $0.28.  Your card must be between 3.5”-4.25” high and 5”-6” long.  You can have printing on both sides as long as there is still room for the address and postal bar code information.

Helpful Guidelines for Paper Usage

by Raki Wright | Last Updated July 16, 2010

HELPFUL GUIDELINES for PAPER USAGE

  • Prior to use, paper should be allowed to acclimate at least 48 Hours in the environment in which it will be used.
Optimum storage facility would retain temperatures between 70-80 degrees F with 50% relative humidity.
  • Before loading paper, fan the sheets on all four sides.  This creates a small layer of air between the sheets which should help printer feeding mechanisms.
  • Load Materials according to the instructions in the printer owner’s manual.  Recommended feeding is generally to use the manual feed tray, or the straightest path through the printer.
  • Unused printing materials should be placed in a sealed moisture proof package and stored laying flat.  The original packaging can be reused as long as it can be resealed to prevent moisture infiltration. Excessive paper curl can result from large, sudden, or uneven changes in the moisture content of the paper. This can cause jams and misfeeds in the printer/copier, or poor stacking in the output tray.
