Completely Custom Pharmacy Label Laser Sheets

Labels use in pharmacies is quite important. Without the use of labels pharmacists would have to spend several minutes, maybe even an hour, trying to make sure they’re giving the patients the right medication. It’s equally important that the pharmacy is using the right size labels. A large, 4×6″ label is not going to fit well on a pill bottle, but if you use too small of a label the type may become too small to read.

Because each pharmacy is unique, they all use different label sizes as well as a different amount of labels per prescription and they all need different layouts for their laser label sheets. Stock pharmacy labels won’t always meet your needs, so it’s usually better to go with a completely custom pharmacy label.

What are pharmacy laser label sheets?

They are sheets of paper (usually 8.5×11″) with peel out labels built into them. These labels can be in any layout, any size (and any number of different sizes), with the pharmacy’s logos and text pre-printed on them.

These label sheets can be used with either inkjet or laser printers (no specific thermal label printer to purchase). The only thing you’ll need to worry about as far as which type of printer to use is whether or not the label has a chance of getting wet; inkjet ink won’t hold up well against water, but laser toner should be fine.

What do you mean by “Completely Custom”?

It means you can customize just about any part of the form. Let’s go down the list:

Custom Sheet Size

As mentioned earlier the standard size for laser sheets is 8.5×11″, but if your pharmacy needs a legal size label sheet or a 4×8.5″ label sheet, it can be done. Decide what size works best for your pharmacy’s workflow and start designing your sheet around that.

Custom Label Sheet Layout

You can also decide how many labels you want on the sheet and what size(s) they are. Do you ship some of your prescriptions? You can have a large label at the bottom for shipping with your other smaller bottle labels at the top. If you need a slip for the pharmacist to write notes on for the customer, you can get a perforation at the bottom of the sheet so your pharmacist can write on plain paper then detach it via perforation from the rest of the sheet.

Add Your Custom Label Colors

Warning and expiration labels need to be bright and catch the eye of the patient or nurse. Highlighting certain labels in yellow, red, or orange will help direct attention to certain pieces of information once the labels are affixed to the bottle or box.

Create a Custom Design

Want to do a little branding for your pharmacy on the labels? You can add your pharmacy’s logo or business colors onto one, two, or all of the labels. Doing this can help your customers to remember who to go back to when they need a refill.
