Printing your own Holiday cards allows you to customize your cards to say exactly what you want without having to pay for a minimum amount to be printed. This also means you get to design them yourself to make them unique.
In this example we’ll be using default Microsoft Word Clip Art, but you should be using your own photographs for your Holiday cards.
We’ll be creating a greeting card in this example, but feel free to use note cards, postcards, etc. The first step is to download the blank greeting card template using green download button on the right side of the page.
For those using postcards with four to a sheet would be better off using Microsoft Publisher than Microsoft Word. It’s easier to mail merge in Publisher than Word. Plus you won’t have to copy and paste your design to all four postcards.
Since we’re using a greeting card that will be placed into an envelope, we can use either Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher.
Open the template in either Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher (yours may have automatically opened when you downloaded the template).
Time to design your card! Add any kind of text and design that you would like. Again, we’re using Microsoft Clip Art for this example; you should be using your own personal photographs.
Before you start designing, make sure you’ve gone through the steps to ensure that you will be feeding the paper correctly and that the design will line up with the scores and perforations of your finished piece.
Now it’s time to print your card. Here’s how our card turned out. How did yours turn out? Let us know in the comments below or via any of our Social Media channels.
