Burris Computer Forms® announces Burris Blank Printable 11″ x 17″ BiFolds ™, a new product.

The new blank, printable BiFolds are printable in-house on users’ own PCs. Any inkjet or laser printer or copier can be used as long as they can handle the 11″ x 17″ format. The advantages of printing BiFolds in-house include fast turnaround, low cost, and control of the project. You also have the ability to print a few, or thousands, quickly and cost-effectively. Companies and individuals use Burris BiFolds11x17 as an easy and convenient way to deliver a message.

A BiFold brochure–also known as a book fold brochure–is made by folding an 11″ x 17″ sheet of paper once, creating two equal halves. Many marketing professionals use BiFold Brochures for the flexibility of its format. BiFolds make great flyers, brochures, menus, information pamphlets, marketing campaigns, and oversize greeting cards.

The BiFolds are 11″ x 17″ sheets scored once for easy folding to yield an 8.5″ x 11″ finished size. This stock is made from white cardstock paper for quality text, graphics, and images.

Do you carry 1/4 fold card stock?

by Raki Wright | Last Updated June 22, 2010

No, we carry single, double, jumbo/2-per-page, and 4-per-page postcards.  All of our blank postcard paper is specially selected and tested for easy feeding and crisp printing using your own laser or inkjet printers or copiers. Our products are also compatible with copiers capable of handling postcard paper. Once printed and separated, each postcard meets all USPS requirements for mailing a first class postcard.

We also have notecards, half-folds, and greeting cards.  These are perfect for all occasions because you get to print your own message on them.  Blank products can be used for multiple mailings throughout the year.

We carry single cards, which measure 4″ x 6″ and are available in three grades of white paper.  These cards require no folding or tearing to separate and work on inkjet and laser printers (except the glossy, which is laser only).

Q:  Do you offer an 8 1/2″ X 14″ pre-printed sheet with a pull out label with perf, that could work as a UPS ship label and return label?

A:  We would recommend the Peel Out! Shipping Label Sheet (Item#LS-ULTPS).  It is an 8 1/2″ X 14″ sheet with one 7 1/2″ X 5 1/8″ label.  It features One Horizontal perforation, which is 6″ from the top of the sheet.  It works with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS Click-N-Ship. When this product is out of stock, it will be discontinued as a stock item. You can still order it as a customer job with a minimum quantity of 5,000.

Q:  I’m interested in your tri-fold brochure.  How does it stay together so it doesn’t get damaged during mailing? Can I print on both sides using duplex printing?

A:  You can request sealing stickers with your order.  Although you may print on both sides of the sheet, you shouldn’t print anything on the outer side that you would not want to be seen during mailing.

Q: Does my printer need to be set up in some way to accommodate heavy paper weights?

A:  In order to print cardstock, you will need to change your printer settings, i.e. change to a thick or heavy cardstock setting.  This will allow the ink to better adhere to the paper.

If your printer is having trouble feeding the paper or printing clearly, try using the “manual” or “by pass tray” on it.
These typically will handle and print heavier paper, because they feed 1 sheet or just a few sheets at a time, at a slower, more direct path through the printer.  Also, you can check your printer settings to see if there is a “Heavy Paper” option.

Burris Computer Forms ® announces blank 5″ X 7″ Greeting Cards and Envelopes, two new additions to its Print-On-Demand Greeting CardsTM product line.

Companies and individuals can use Burris’ blank 5″ X 7″ greeting cards and envelopes for all occasions by printing any message, image, or photograph on them. The cards can be used for all marketing needs as well as for New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Administrative Professionals Day, Easter, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Grandparents Day, Bosses Day, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, sympathy, thank you, birthday, congratulations, graduation, welcome, friendship, get well, baptism, Bar and Bat Mitzvah, bon voyage, or farewell cards.

The smooth white finish adds a nice professional touch to mailings and provides many opportunities to create and send a card for any occasion. Burris also offers smaller Note Cards and larger HalfFold greeting cards for convenience.

Paper weight is determined by measuring the weight of a certain quantity of sheets of paper. Paper weight may be expressed as basis weight, ream weight, M weight or grammage.  Stay tuned tomorrow to see what those terms mean!

Paper weight is often measured in cover, index, text, bond, tag, bristol or gsm.
