Why can’t I print barcode labels using colored paper?

If you use color postcards for warehouse tags, you cannot put a barcode on the colored paper because the barcode will not scan properly.  When printing barcodes, use barcode sheets with peel off labels.  Or, create custom barcode tags to barcode inventory.

We have found that you should ask your municipality if something is recyclable. In our area, we were told that shipping label sheets (and an empty sheet after you have peeled all of the labels off), are recyclable. So, we would suggest you check with your locality about any item in question.
