Q: I’m looking for a white folded note card on which I can mount 4 inch x 6 inch photos. I need envelopes and clear “wrapping” (cellophane?) protectors.
A: A lot of our customers who print photos on note cards for resale like to print directly on the card with our Note Card-Photo Matte Inkjet (Item# NC-PMI), which prints vibrant, realistic colors with great detail and clarity. These note cards measure 4.25″x5.5″ when folded and have envelopes available. Our Note Card Envelope and our clear plastic note card display sleeves that can hold up to 10 note cards and envelopes. Or, another option is our 5″x7″ Greeting cards with matching envelopes, if you would like to mount your photos on the card.
It really depends on your application and printer as to which postcard would be best for you. The first thing is that you need to make sure that your printer will support the paper weight of the postcards, by checking our “find your paper” tool . If your printer is not listed, please contact us, and we would be happy to look it up for you and add it to our database.
If you are looking to just print color text or simple graphics you may like the 4KS (standard white) postcards. However, if you want to use photographs or high resolution images you may like the 4KPL (premium light) or 4KP (premium heavy) postcards, as they have a smoother brighter white finish that looks better with graphics or photographs.

Will postcard or first class postage go up?
Washington, DC – The Postal Regulatory Commission invites press and interested parties to a short briefing on its decision in the U.S. Postal Service Request for an above inflation, “exigent” price increase for its market-dominant products. This is the first time that the issue of what is an “exceptional or extraordinary” circumstance will be decided under the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006 (PAEA). Questions from the Press will be entertained following the briefing.
What: The Commission will announce its decision on a closely watched case, the Postal Service exigent price increase request filed on July 6, 2010, seeking to increase prices by an average of 5.6 percent on its Market-Dominant products, including, but not limited to, First-Class and Standard letters and flats, Periodicals, and Standard packages.
Under the PAEA, price increases for Market-Dominant products are capped at the rate of inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U). The Postal Service may request Market-Dominant increases above the rate of inflation, however, due to ?extraordinary or exceptional? circumstances.

Q: I want to produce one-of a kind postcards from the thousands of digital pictures I’ve taken to mail to my friends, family and associates. Should I be using your glossy cut, middleweight cut or heavy matte for this purpose? Also does the free program I see you offer have an address template on it for the reverse side of the postcard?
A: If you are looking to print photographs on the single cards I would recommend either the 4x6P or 4x6G depending on what you prefer. The 4x6P is our premium heavy white matte postcard which is good for photographs and has a nice smooth matte finish. Our 4x6G is glossy for laser printers which has a high gloss finish which looks really good with photos. Both of these cards are good for photographs, it is just whether you prefer a glossy or matte finish for your images.
The available templates are completely blank to where you can customize them yourself. Please visit our how to page that can help you create your card.
If you sell products, order fulfillment is one of the most important functions that your company performs. Done correctly, it can lead to repeat business because your customers know that they can rely on you. The more efficient your company becomes at order fulfillment, the more orders you can handle. Below are the components of a successful order fulfillment department:
1. Well-Trained Staff – Train your employees properly on equipment and systems to handle the inflow of orders. Make sure your manager is an experienced communicator who can direct and delegate. Attention to detail is a must at this level.
2. Sufficient Product Supply – Maintain an adequate supply of inventory that is organized, available, and ready-to-ship. Group like items together, clearly labeled with item numbers. Analyze customers? buying trends to ensure stock on the most popular items.
3. High Quality Shipping Supplies – Equip your warehouse with high quality, compatible supplies such as boxes, packing material, tape and labels. Make sure your boxes are “crush resistant” so that they will survive in transit. Use a laser printer for printing of shipping labels, as inkjet can cause problems with your carrier’s scanning equipment.
4. Flexible Carrier Pickup – Choose a carrier that will work with your operating hours. Arranging an automated pickup can be convenient and cost-effective. Arrange with carrier to have driver pick-up occur at same time each day. Obviously, the later in the day, the more orders you can get out the door.
5. Systematic Procedures – Define policies and procedures. Systematize and streamline. Consider such activities as batch picking, where the same item is picked in large quantities for use in multiple orders. An excellent method of streamlining your shipping process is to have the shipping label and packing list on the same page. This cuts down on errors and saves time.
6. Smart Technology – Utilize whatever technology is available to you, including electronic packing lists, automated label/packing list printing and automated order entry. Combining your ecommerce web site and your accounting systems with your order fulfillment streamlines your use of manpower.
Once all of these elements are in place, challenges such as matching packing slip with actual item to be shipped and the shipping label, as well as picking the correct items becomes routine. Efficient order fulfillment systems enable your shipping department to fill orders faster with less error. This will result in lower costs and improved customer service which, in turn, will allow your company to increase sales and improve your bottom line.
