Since you are printing eight postcards per sheet instead of four postcards per sheet, there are fewer pages for the printer to pick up and you’re yielding the same amount of postcards. When your printer is spending more time printing and less time picking up sheets from the tray your print job can be run faster and with less possibility of hassle.
This also means that you won’t have to do as many paper refills in your printer; that little “Out of Paper” warning will be less prominent. When you don’t have to get up to refill paper several times during a print job, you can allot more of your time to other jobs and tasks that need completion.
For those older printers that require a bit of baby…err, printer sitting, 11×17″ sheets may help to reduce your printer sitting time, especially for those printers that need to be kept on top of because of trouble picking up paper correctly. Without having to printer sit as much you can, again, get more work done at your desk and not have to hover over your printer like a hawk.
